It's Getting a Little Spooky at Magic Kingdom

Halloween is coming early at Magic Kingdom with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This spooky Halloween party starts on September 15 and runs until October 31. This is a special event so a separate park admission is required. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party runs from 7 PM-midnight. Be sure to pre-order your tickets before you leave home. You can save $5 per person by ordering your tickets before your trip (on select nights) plus this event does usually sell out.

This is a great time to hit Magic Kingdom without the crowds and heat of the days. All the popular Disney rides and attractions are open plus a few spooky extras like a Halloween parade and trick or treating. Come dressed in your costume but leave the masks at home. This party has fun and entertainment for kids of all ages. If you have any questions or need assistance pre-ordering your tickets, email us at info@destinationsinflorida.com.

Kim Possible at Epcot

For all of you Kim Possible fans out there...this one if for you! We have been getting alot of questions about the Kim Possible Game Play at Epcot. This fun interactive treasure hunt is held at Epcot from August 14-September 8. The outdoors interactive experience runs from 11 AM-6 PM as you go throughout Epcot on a Kim Possible adventure. The hunt really only lasts about 1 1/2-2 hours but you can run longer by having lunch, catching some rides, etc. Disney randomly selects guests to test this new experience at the front entrance to Epcot. They are no signups, Disney just randomly selects guests to fit their test project. For your best chances of getting selected, Disney Guest Services at Epcot suggests being at the entrance gate right at park opening. You can even ask a few of the Cast Members for more information as you go through the gate. If you see a Disney Cast Member standing around at the front entrance, be sure to ask them for more information. If you have any other questions, you can contact us at info@destinationsinflorida.com.

Disney World in December

The kids are finally back in school and I am sure everyone is thinking - when is our next vacation? One of our favorite times to visit Disney World is in December. Disney is extra magical over the Holidays with popular special events, decorations, and "Magic" around every corner. Disney has some amazing special events in December like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade at Magic Kingdom and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at Disney-MGM Studios. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a locals favorite where Magic Kingdom is closed from 7 PM-midnight except for the special event ticket holders. You will enjoy a special Christmas Parade, family pictures, cocoa and cookies, snow down Main Street, and so much more. There are great special events at all of the Disney Theme Parks. All of the Disney Resorts and Downtown Disney are also decorated for Christmas with beautiful trees and lights themed after the Resorts. You can even see Santa himself at Downtown Disney.

Besides the Holidays decorations and events, the weather is perfect in December. It is cooler during the day so you are not melting with the Florida heat. Plus you can still swim in pools and Waterparks since these pools are heated to 80 degrees year round. Another great benefit of visiting during December is the less expensive Value Season. The Value Season runs from December 1-19. You can take advantage of less expensive resort prices and you can avoid the busy "Christmas rush."

If you are planning a December vacation, you should start planning right away. Many of the popular resorts are already filling up for December especially around December 24-January 1.
