Favorite Disney World Resort Pools

A major part of any Orlando vacation is relaxing and swimming at a Disney Resort pool. When picking your Disney Resort, you may focus your attention on finding a great pool for your whole family. Here is a list of the most popular pools at the Walt Disney World Resort, selected from the guests that visit Disney.

Best Overall Pool - Hands down, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort is picked for the best pool at the Walt Disney World Resort. This 3 acre pool area includes a pool with real sand and a tube area where you can just relax in a tube and bask in the sun. This pool also has the best waterslide at Disney World. The waterslide is a huge pirate ship!

If the pool area gets too busy, you can even relax in a chair or hammock on the beach overlooking a beautiful lake. In the evening, you can enjoy a swim in the pool and then a campfire singalong or movies on the sandy beach. This pool area has fun for everyone, which makes Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort the most popular pool at Disney World.

Best Pool for Adults - Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort takes the prize for best pool for adults. This pool area is naturally beautiful with a waterfall and beach entry. The hot tubs are a little more private compared to the other Disney Resorts. Plus, you can see the animals right from the pool. What a fun way to enjoy an afternoon swim!

Best Pool for Teens and Preschoolers - One of the Disney Moderate Resorts called Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort gets the most votes for best pool for teenagers and preschoolers! Let’s start with the teenagers. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has alot of fun amenities all in the same pool area. You can grab a snack at the poolside bar, play some sand volleyball, ride a Jaguar waterslide, and then play some video games. All of the teen favorites in one area!
This resort also got the most popular pool for preschoolers. The pool features a pyramid with a waterfall trickling down the pyramid. There is also a kiddie pool and Dig Site playground, just for preschoolers. The Dig Site is a playground and sand pit for the little ones to dig up artifacts and bones. This is a perfect area for the little ones and teenagers.

Pool with the Best View - Disney’s Polynesian Resort was one of the most popular pools at the Walt Disney World Resort and came in right behind Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort for the best overall pool. Since this is such a great pool, we made up a category for this pool. So, the Disney Resort pool with the best view is Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This fun pool features a huge erupting volcano and beach entry. There is also a separate water jet area for the little ones to play. Just feet away from this pool is the sandy beach that overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom. You can see Cinderella’s Castle right from the pool. This is a great pool to enjoy in the evening. You can relax at the pool and watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes Fireworks!

Enjoy the Disney Resort pools! Don’t forget your sunblock!

Ride Surf Waves at an Orlando Mall

It sounds strange, but you can ride real surf waves right in the middle of a mall in Orlando, Florida. The popular outdoor store called Adrenalina has a huge surf machine right in the store. This surf machine is called Flowrider and allows guests of all ages to ride boogie boards or surf boards right in the middle of a day of shopping. The only requirements are a swimsuit and towel. The cost is $20 per 1/2 hour. Everyone does have to sign a waiver before riding the waves.

There is a huge clear wall surrounding the Flowrider, so you can watch your friends and family surf while you take pictures or video. Orlando has some really fun places to shop and this store is one of the coolest ones, right inside a mall. Adrenalina is located in the Florida Mall, which is just a few miles from the Orlando International Airport. Here is a link to Adrenalina and a link to the Florida Mall for more details about this shopping and surfing experience!

Must Sees at the Disney Theme Parks for Teens

Disney World is a fun place to visit for kids of all ages including teenagers. We hit the parks recently to pick out the teen favorites at the four Disney Theme Parks. Our teens picked their favorites at each park! Let’s start with the newest thrill ride at Disney World that takes guests to the Himalayan Mountains on a runaway train. This new roller coaster is called Expedition Everest and is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This roller coaster combines fun drops including a huge drop at the end and fast turns and dips. Combine the scary sounds, darkness and the huge Yeti, it gets your heart pumping. This is the most popular ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for teenagers.

Our next stop is into the future at Epcot. This Theme Park is a more popular park for teens and adults. The must see ride at Epcot for teens is Test Track. Most teens dream about driving and this fun ride pretends that you are a “car test dummy.” You get to experience fast speeds, sharp turns and quick stops. This is a fast thrill ride at Epcot!

Heading from Future World of Epcot to the movies of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we are hitting the must see ride at this Theme Park. The most popular teen ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Tower of Terror. This spooky ride takes you on a wild elevator ride. Each ride is a different experience because each ride drops you in random patterns. This ride is popular to experience during the day and at night. Try it a few times during your trip.

The last teen must sees are at Magic Kingdom Park. In Florida, we do have mountains! They are called Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. These three thrill rides are must sees at Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain is a fun relaxing ride until the big drop that may leave you soaked. Walk over to Big Thunder Mountain to dry off on this fun rollar coaster with fast turn and drops. After this roller coaster head over to Tomorrowland to Space Mountain with lots of twists, turns and drops. This indoor roller coaster is one of the most popular rides for teenagers at Disney World.

These are the most popular thrill rides at the Walt Disney World Resort for teenagers. If you have teens, plan on spending alot of time hitting these rides during your visit.
