Go Eye to Eye with Alligators in Orlando

When you think about Florida, most people think sun, beaches, Mickey Mouse and alligators. Yes, alligators! In Florida we do have lots and lots of alligators in every lake and pond. Did you know that we also have the "Alligator Capital of the World," right here in Orlando? The "Alligator Capital of the World" is called Gatorland. The Gatorland Park is not only the capital, but it is a park attraction. You and your family can take an afternoon during your Orlando vacation, and tour Gatorland park. This half day attraction is fun for the whole family with shows and animal exhibits.

There are famous alligator shows include the Jumparoo, where the alligators jump (4-5) feet in the air to actually catch their food and the popular alligator wrestling. There are other animal shows, besides alligators including Animal Encounters. Besides the fun shows, you can also walk throughout the park and enjoy lots of exhibits or take a train ride. There is also a kids play area including a splash park called Gator Gully. This is the perfect way to cool down during the hot summer months. There are over 110 acres of alligator and animal fun.
